Family Crest Project
Media: Mixed media (water bottle, sweatshirt, tote bag, & mug)
Project: To practice creating my own imagery and make a crest that best represents my family. An exercise for creating logos.
Rationale: I chose to represent the family trips we make annually to Florida by making the crest as a whole an orange, which means Florida, and also, unintentionally represent the town that my family lives in. The symbol behind the flower is the character for my last name, “Kong,” which means river. The petal of each flower represents each person in my family, and I used a flower because my mom nurtures us and also grows plants. The puzzle piece represents my brother, who has autism, because our family would not be the same without him.
